Summer Sighs

YellowLilly1

This is the time of year

when the solar plexus starts to sigh;

flamenco chords

with balalaika backs

enhance the heaving breaths:

a prelude to the existential melancholy

that walks alongside hot roads and summer blossoms

and endless days of nothingness and popsicles.
